Privacy Policy

Short version: you tell us about a job, we pass your details to one local business so they can call you, and we may ring you later as part of a random audit of that business. That is the whole thing. This page spells it out.

Who we are

Willamette Pros is run by Noah Goodman, a licensed Oregon contractor. The site operates through his company, Two Man Crew LLC, which is the entity legally responsible for the information described on this page. When this page says "we," that is who it means. You can reach us at the address on our contact page — a person reads it, and it is usually Noah.

What we collect

When you submit a request, we collect:

• Your first name and phone number, and your email address if you choose to give one
• Your zip code and what you need doing
• The address of the job, but only if you offer it. We ask once, after the business already has your details and is on their way to ringing you, because it saves them a trip to work out what to bring. Say no and nothing happens — it is not a condition of anything.
• What you tell us about the job, in your own words, including any questions we ask you and your answers
• The date and time, your IP address, and your browser's user agent
• The exact consent wording shown on your screen when you submitted, stored word for word

We store that last item because it names the specific business your details were going to. If there is ever a question about what you agreed to, we want the actual sentence you read, not our recollection of it.

We audit the businesses we list by ringing a random sample of the people we referred. If you are one of them, we keep your answers and our assessment. We do not record the call itself, and we will not ring everybody — most people never hear from us again.

Who we share it with

One business per request. Not four, not a bidding pool. The business is named on your screen before you submit anything, and your details go to that business and no other. If we have nobody suitable, we tell you and your details go nowhere.

Service providers who make the site work: our text messaging provider, our email provider, our web host, and our payment processor. They handle data to do those jobs and nothing else. The payment processor deals only with the businesses on the registry, never with you — this site never asks a homeowner for money.

Anyone we are legally required to share it with, which we hope never happens.

We do not post your name, your phone number, or your address anywhere on this website.

Yes, contractors pay us for leads

We are going to be direct about this, because most sites in our line of work are not.

Businesses on this registry pay us a fee for each lead we send them. Your request is the lead. That means we receive money in connection with passing your contact details to a contractor, and depending on how you read Oregon law, that may count as selling personal data. We are not going to tell you we never sell your information, because we would rather be blunt than technically clever.

What we do not do: sell or rent your details to data brokers, marketing lists, advertisers, insurers, or anyone who is not the one contractor handling your job. Your information goes to the business doing the work, and to nobody else.

Payment does not affect whether a business is vetted, what our audits find, or where it appears on this site.

Text messages and calls

By submitting a request you agree that the contractor we assign may contact you by phone, text, or email about your project, and that we may contact you afterward as part of a random audit of that business. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text from us to stop receiving them. Stopping texts does not stop the contractor from calling you — they are a separate business, and you would need to tell them directly.

Audits

If we ring you as part of an audit, we ask at the end whether we may publish anything you said. If you say no, we do not publish it — we still keep the rating in our own records so we know how that business is performing. If you say yes, we publish your first name and city only, never your surname, phone number, or address.

There is no way for anyone to post a review on this site. Not you, not the contractor, not their competitors. Everything published about a business is our own assessment from an audit we ran.

How long we keep it

We keep lead records for as long as we have a business reason to, and at least as long as any invoice connected to them could be disputed. Realistically that is a few years. Consent records we keep for as long as we keep the lead, because a consent record with no lead attached is useless to everybody.

What you can ask us to do

Email or call us and we will:

• Tell you what we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete your record, unless we need it for an unresolved invoice or a legal obligation
• Stop contacting you

We are a small company. A person reads these, and it is usually the same person who would have called you about the job.

One limit worth stating: once we have passed your details to a contractor, that business has its own copy and its own privacy practices. We can stop using your information; we cannot reach into their phone and delete it. You would need to ask them.

Cookies and what your browser remembers

We do not set advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics. Nobody is following you around the internet on our account.

Your browser does remember two things for you: your zip code and your first name, stored on your own device so you do not have to type them again next time. They are not an identifier, they are not attached to a profile, and they are not sent anywhere by themselves — only when you actually submit a request. Clearing your browser data removes them, and so does using a private window.

We load fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google's servers see the request for the font file.

Children

This site is for adults arranging work on property. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy we will change the date at the top. If we ever change it in a way that affects what we do with details you already gave us, we will tell you directly rather than quietly editing this page.
